It could be argued that the changes are positive, then, as users are being given more control over their own accounts.
A spokesman for the social networking site has said that the same survey actually shows that 80 per cent of people in the UK do use the privacy controls that Facebook provides. This implies that they like the service and are using it to their advantage. While there are a lot of changes that users are having to keep up with, many think that the privacy settings are improving, which should ultimately help users feel safer when using Facebook.
