A couple of customers have asked me how to set up email on their iPhone and other smartphones so here are a few tips to help you get started and ensure you don’t miss any important messages:
POP3
This method is primarily used to download the messages in whole from your email server. Most people will have configured their email client (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) to delete messages from the email server once they are downloaded to the client. In essence this means that the messages would then no longer be available on the email server to be downloaded to a second device such as a phone.
You can get around this issue by setting the options on all devices (i.e your PC and your phone) to leave a copy of messages on the server, this can be for a specific number of days or until they are deleted on one of the devices.
Here are some links to help you configure POP3 accounts:
How to configure Outlook 2007 POP3 to leave a copy of messages on the server
How to configure your iPhone to leave a copy of messages on the server
IMAP
This method lets you view your messages directly from the email server on your device without it being deleted from the email server. This is the recommended method to use if you want to view your email on more than one device.
EMail Server Address
If your hosting is provided by Jessica Zeun Consulting then the mail server address is the same for both POP3 and IMAP accounts. Your server name is mail.*yourdomainname*. However if you use another email hosting provider they might use different server names for pop3 and imap for example pop.mailserver.com or imap.mailserver.com therefore you will need to check with your hosting provider and confirm your email server address before configuring your outlook or phone email settings.
If you would like additional help with configuring or using email productively within your business please contact me for more information on how I can help.

Good day, I would like to make a display capture through my iphone exactly like the print screen feature in Windows using the computer keyboard. Could it be carried out?
There are iPhone apps which offer screen capture, however there is also a way to do it within the phone itself:
Press and hold the ‘Home’ button (the one in the middle at the bottom), then press and release the ‘Sleep’ button (top right). The iPhone will flash white briefly and then an image of your current screen is added to your camera roll on the phone.
Hope this helps
Jessica
